Job summary
Randstad USA in Largo, FL is seeking an experienced CNC HAAS Setup Machinist to lead full, independent machine setups and optimize cycle times in a high‑mix, precision shop. You will read blueprints, edit G/M-code at the controller, and ensure parts meet tight tolerances.
This direct‑hire role offers 1st shift hours, structured work days, and the chance to mentor operators while collaborating with CNC Programmers and Engineers on process improvements, fixture design, and quality control.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of setup experience on vertical CNC mills (HAAS) and 4th-axis milling.
- Ability to read blueprints and GD&T to tight tolerances.
- Proficient in editing G/M-code at the controller.
- Experience working under ISO 9001 / AS9100 standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform full, independent setups on CNC vertical mills (HAAS) and lathes.
- Edit CNC programs manually at the controller to improve cycles.
- Machine components to tight tolerances with various materials.
- Build and modify fixtures and tooling for complex geometries.
- Mentor operators on safety and inspection techniques.
- Collaborate with engineering to troubleshoot program errors.
