Role Overview

Our client is looking for a seasoned engineer with deep technical expertise in hydrologic and hydraulic systems, strong leadership instincts, and a passion for solving complex water‑related challenges. This position will play a central role in shaping the firm's Gulf Coast portfolio while contributing to high‑visibility projects across the country.

  • Providing mentorship and oversight to developing engineers, helping build a strong, collaborative, and technically capable local team.

  • Executing and reviewing advanced modelling work using HEC‑HMS and HEC‑RAS (1D/2D) for flood risk assessments, stormwater systems, and infrastructure‑related studies.

  • Validating technical documentation, including modelling outputs, engineering analyses, design packages, and written reports.

  • Representing technical findings to clients, community groups, and regulatory agencies in a clear and compelling manner.

  • Supporting market growth, including proposal development, opportunity tracking, and strengthening client relationships in the Houston area.

  • Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and regulatory bodies to support permitting, design integration, and project execution.

Technical Strengths
  • Expert‑level proficiency with HEC‑HMS and HEC‑RAS (1D/2D).

  • Experience with GIS, SWMM, StormCAD, or similar modelling/design tools is advantageous.

  • Strong understanding of stormwater systems, floodplain management, watershed planning, and related infrastructure.
