Job summary

LVI Associates in Houston is seeking an experienced Hydrology & Hydraulics (H&H) Project Manager to lead water resources projects across Texas, taking ownership of technical delivery and mentoring junior staff.

You will work with public and private sector clients on flood risk, drainage, and stormwater infrastructure, coordinating with regulatory agencies and multidisciplinary teams. The role offers hybrid work flexibility, competitive compensation, and strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or ability to obtain via reciprocity.
• 8+ years of experience in water resources engineering, hydrology, and hydraulics.
• Strong experience with HEC‑RAS, HEC‑HMS, and drainage/floodplain analysis.
• Familiarity with FEMA studies, stormwater management, and municipal infrastructure projects.
• Proven project management and client-facing experience.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage H&H and water resources projects from planning through design and delivery.
• Lead hydrologic and hydraulic modeling efforts using tools such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, InfoWorks ICM, and related software.
• Oversee floodplain analyses, drainage studies, watershed evaluations, and stormwater master plans.
• Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and technical deliverables.
• Review engineering reports, calculations, plans, and specifications.
• Mentor and support junior engineers and technical staff.
• Assist with business development, proposal preparation, and client relationship management.
