Job summary

Veterans Health Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a Physician - Gynecologic Surgeon to provide comprehensive surgical and clinical services within the Department of Surgery/Gynecology. You will supervise residents where applicable and adhere to VA policies.

The incumbent will perform the full range of gynecologic procedures, contribute to patient care for female veterans, and participate in ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an approved medical school
• Completion of ACGME/AOA accredited residency in gynecology/obstetrics or equivalent
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in a U.S. state or territory

Responsibilities

• Perform the full range of gynecologic surgical procedures (laparoscopy, robotic, hysteroscopy)
• Provide patient care to female veterans with emphasis on safety and quality
• Maintain assigned OR block time and clinic schedule
• Ensure timely completion of medical records and documentation
• Complete CME and TMS training as required
• Engage in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
