Job summary

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered medical care as part of a health care team.
• Obtain medical histories and perform physical examinations.
• Order diagnostic tests such as MRI/CT as appropriate.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and preventive care.
• Assist in perioperative care and in the operating room.
• Coordinate referrals to non-VA services as needed.
• Document informed consent and treatment plans.
• Attend committee meetings and participate in quality initiatives.
