Job summary

Cobb County Government is seeking a Recreation Coordinator-like role to manage the Cobb Gymnastics Center. The position will develop a master plan for the facility, oversee programming for gymnastics classes, teams and rentals, and supervise staff. The role also handles scheduling, coordinating facility use, and contributing to budget planning and public relations for events and programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; supplemented by three years of experience as a Recreation Coordinator, Programmer or Specialist; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Tasks require ability to sit/stand at a keyboard for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service by developing a master plan for the facility including gymnastics classes, teams, and rentals.
• Offer continuing training opportunities for staff and ensure safety in the facility.
• Schedule staff to cover classes and facility hours; supervise, direct, and counsel part-time staff.
• Create and publish a calendar of events.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of Cobb Gymnastics Center.
• Coordinate facility and grounds use; maintain master calendar and rentals.
• Assist in developing and implementing budget for assigned facility, program, or event.
