Cobb County Fire and Emergency Services is seeking part-time Recreation Leaders and Recreation Specialists to teach instructional gymnastics and manage daily program operations at the Cobb County PARKS Department. Qualifications

• Part-Time Recreation Leader: High School Diploma or GED preferred; supplemented by experience in any field working with children or as an instructor/coach or athlete.
• Part-time Recreation Specialist: High School Diploma or GED required, supplemented by vocational or technical training in customer service or related field; supplemented by two years of experience in customer service; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.

Responsibilities

• Teach instructional gymnastics classes on an age appropriate level and through skill progressions.
• Take class attendance and prepare class lesson plan; evaluate and recommend progression to higher levels.
• Provide customer service: information about services, activities, fees, forms, or issues; respond to routine questions and complaints.
• Process participant registrations, court reservations, tournament registrations, and other scheduled services and events; review forms, enter data, collect fees.
• Prepare facilities according to daily schedule: open/close, lock/unlock doors, lights, alarms; move and tear down equipment; perform routine cleaning.
• Maintain attendance and punctuality within customary tolerances.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
