Job summary

Evergreen Park and Recreation District in Evergreen, CO is seeking a Gymnastics Recreation Instructor to organize and lead recreation programs, instruct classes, and support the Gymnastics Supervisor with administrative duties.

You will coordinate schedules, develop curricula, teach age appropriate gymnastics, maintain records, ensure a safe environment, train staff, and assist with camps, events and seasonal advertising.

Qualifications

• Four year degree in Physical Education, Recreation, Early Childhood Education, or equivalent education and experience.
• CPR/AED and First-Aid Certification, or ability to obtain within six months of employment.
• KAT Safety Certification through USAG or equivalent.
• MELPD through USAG.
• One year program coordination experience.
• Two years coaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and promote recreation programs including camps.
• Teach recreation classes.
• Maintain accurate records of participants' attendance, payment, and progress.
• Set up equipment and ensure a safe environment for participants.
• Assist supervision with class/camp planning, scheduling, and marketing.
• Provide input for classes and camps for district advertising and budgeting.
