Job summary

Fox Valley Park District in Aurora, IL seeks a PT IMRF Gymnastics & Cheer Coordinator to oversee gymnastics, tumbling and cheer programs. The role blends instructional leadership with administrative duties, requiring evenings and weekend availability for program coverage.

Minimum five years in gymnastics/cheer instruction, strong supervisory skills, and applicable USA Gymnastics/AAU certifications. CPR/AED certification within six months is required; position offers part-time hours and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum five (5) years demonstrated success in gymnastics/cheer instruction in a team environment.
• Knowledge of USA Gymnastics guidelines related to safety, instruction, and coaching.
• Must attain USA Gymnastics professional membership and Amateur Athletic Union membership.
• Certifications include USAG Safety & Risk Management, Safe Sport, Tough Coaching or Emotional Abuse, and Proactive Coaching Alliance within six months of hire.
• Strong supervisory and communication skills are necessary.
• Attain valid adult and child CPR/AED certification within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee quality and development of all gymnastics, tumbling and cheer programs and instruction.
• Balance instruction with administrative duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Support ongoing program quality initiatives to ensure safe, engaging, and well-structured activities.
