Job summary

The City of Lewisville is seeking a part-time Fitness Attendant to assist on the gym floor, with fitness programs, equipment setup, and guest interaction. You will help monitor activities, educate Thrive guests on procedures, and promote fitness programming.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED (preferred), 1 year in fitness and 1 year in customer service, plus CPR/First Aid within 30 days of hire. Drug test and background check are mandatory.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or preferred.
• One year of fitness field experience preferred.
• One year of customer service experience preferred.
• CPR for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid certifications must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Pre-employment drug test and background check required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate class schedules, programs, and events to fitness floor participants.
• Assist with certifying youth/teens for use of fitness equipment.
• Monitor and assist with fitness/gymnasium equipment and activities.
• Rack weights as needed and maintain clean facilities.
• Assist with time monitoring of open play and special events.
• Ensure safety of all facility guests and respond to emergencies.
