City of Saint Peters is seeking a reliable Gym Attendant to maintain a clean and safe workout environment and to assist with various gym activities. You will help with setup and teardown of rentals such as volleyball, basketball, and pickleball, and support members throughout shifts.

Normal shifts include early mornings, days, and evenings, with weekend coverage. You will work in a dynamic team, contribute to a positive gym environment, and participate in safety and policy enforcement.

Qualifications

• Previous customer-facing experience preferred.
• Able to work a varied schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Capable of lifting and moving up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.

Responsabilités

• Maintain cleanliness and safety of gym and workout areas.
• Assist members with inquiries and provide excellent service.
• Ensure guests follow facility policies.
• Report equipment issues to management.
• Assist fitness instructors with class setups and equipment needs.
• Foster a welcoming and motivating atmosphere for members.
• Assist with fitness and athletic events as needed.

Are you passionate about fitness and dedicated to providing excellent customer service? We are looking for a reliable Gym Attendant to help maintain a clean and safe workout environment and assist with various gym activities.

Summary of the position

Gym Attendants are responsible for maintaining a clean and safe workout environment and providing excellent customer service. You will also be responsible for setting up and tearing down rentals, such as volleyball, basketball, and pickleball.

Normal Shift:

Weekday shifts: 4:45am-10am, 10a-2pm, 2pm-6pm, and 6pm-11pm

Weekend shifts: 6:45am-1pm and 1pm-8pm

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure the fitness and gymnasiums areas are clean and well-maintained.
• Assist with member inquiries,
• Ensure guests adhere to department and facility policies
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety issues to management.
• Assist fitness instructors and personal trainers with class setups and equipment needs.
• Foster a welcoming and motivating atmosphere for all members.
• Assist with fitness and athletic events as needed.

Qualifications or desired qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including evenings/mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift and/or move over 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Ability to perform work functions with minimal supervision.
