Job summary

American Data Network is seeking experienced GWTG-Resuscitation Abstractors to support accurate abstraction for assigned healthcare clients. This role requires reviewing clinical documentation and applying registry specifications to ensure timely, precise data collection.

Contractors and full-time hires are available; contractors must be able to commit at least 15 hours per week. The position emphasizes independence, attention to detail, and strict HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of recent GWTG Resuscitation abstraction experience.
• Ability to independently abstract cases using registry specifications.
• Strong understanding of healthcare quality reporting and medical record interpretation.
• Experience with multiple EHRs and registry platforms.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Contractors must have reliable internet, a PC, and dual monitors.

Responsibilities

• Review patient records and abstract data for GWTG-Resuscitation measures.
• Apply definitions, criteria, and guidelines accurately.
• Interpret clinical documentation related to in-hospital cardiac arrest and resuscitation.
• Enter data into registry platforms and EHRs.
• Maintain high accuracy and meet deadlines.
• Participate in QA activities and IRR reviews.
• Communicate with account leads and client contacts when clarification is needed.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and client requirements.
