Job summary

The George Washington University in downtown Washington DC is seeking a VISTA Leader to build the capacity of the GW/DCPS program that places VISTAs to support Title 1 schools. The VISTA Leader will guide, develop, support and liaise with the other VISTAs, help VISTAs identify partnerships, seek resources, and expand communications and training opportunities.

Job description

The George Washington University (GWU), in downtown Washington DC, is seeking a VISTA Leader to build the capacity of the GW/District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS) program that places VISTAs to support Title 1 schools. The VISTA Leader will develop project activities and sources of community support to expand successful community partnerships and volunteer programs between public schools and community organizations. The VISTA Leader will guide, develop, support and liaise with the other VISTAs in the program, help VISTAs identify and develop new partnerships, seek additional program resources, expand communications and information sharing, evaluate program efforts, and identify training and professional development opportunities for VISTAs.
