Job summary

City of Baltimore is seeking a Deputy Chief of GVRS (NCS) for MONSE to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of the violence reduction initiative. You will manage life coaching, wraparound supports, and data reporting while ensuring fidelity to the intervention model and strong community partnerships.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Criminal Justice, Psychology, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five+ years in violence prevention, reentry, or justice-involved programming.
• Three+ years of supervisory or program management experience; government contracts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight for MONSE GVRS program operations.
• Ensure fidelity to the intervention model and contract requirements.
• Lead data reporting, KPIs, and performance audits to drive improvements.
• Supervise Intervention Specialists and related staff; manage caseloads and safety planning.
• Coordinate with probation, schools, workforce providers, and health agencies.
• Oversee safety, incident response, and crisis planning for high-risk participants.
