Job summary

Pilot Assessments seeks a highly skilled PIC to command Gulfstream flights with a focus on safety, compliance, and exceptional guest service. You will mentor crewmembers, uphold SMS culture, and ensure on-time performance while maintaining professional standards.

The role requires an ATP with Gulfstream rating, current FAA First Class Medical, and deep knowledge of FAA regulations. East Coast basing preferred, with Orlando area as a strong option.

Qualifications

• ATP certificate (Gulfstream type rating) and current FAA First Class Medical.
• Currency to perform flight duties and ability to complete required training.
• Deep knowledge of FAA regulations and Part 135 operations.
• Strong aeronautical decision-making and safety mindset.

Responsibilities

• Serve as PIC with full responsibility for safety of passengers and crew.
• Plan and execute flights considering weather, NOTAMs, fuel, and weight/balance.
• Ensure compliance with FAA Part 135, company policies, and SMS.
• Provide cockpit leadership and effective CRM and communications.
• Coordinate with Flight Operations, Maintenance, and Crew Scheduling.
• Conduct preflight/post-flight inspections and document discrepancies.

The Mission

As Pilot in Command, you will ensure the safe, compliant, and efficient conduct of every flight while setting the tone for professionalism, service, and teamwork. You’ll exercise sound aeronautical judgment, mentor crewmembers, and represent Fly Alliance with a polished, guest-focused approach.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as PIC with full responsibility for the safety of passengers, crew, aircraft, and cargo.
• Plan and execute flights considering weather, NOTAMs, fuel, weight and balance, aircraft status, MEL/CDL, airport/runway conditions, and crew readiness.
• Ensure strict adherence to FAA regulations, Part 135 requirements, and company policies/SOPs.
• Provide cockpit leadership and model effective Crew Resource Management (CRM) and clear, timely communications.
• Coordinate proactively with Flight Operations, Maintenance Control, and Crew Scheduling to support safe, on-time performance.
• Conduct thorough preflight and post-flight inspections; document and communicate aircraft discrepancies.
• Complete flight logs, reports, and duty/rest records accurately and on schedule.
• Champion our Safety Management System (SMS) and a just, reporting-positive safety culture.
• Deliver a refined, service-forward passenger experience on every trip.

What You Bring

• ATP Certificate (unrestricted or restricted) with appropriate Gulfstream type rating.
• Current and valid FAA First Class Medical.
• Currency and qualifications to perform assigned flight duties; ability to complete all company-required training.
• Deep knowledge of FAA regulations and Part 135 operations.
• Excellent aeronautical decision-making and situational awareness; uncompromising safety mindset.
• Strong leadership, communication, and CRM skills with a polished customer-service focus.
• Residence on the U.S. East Coast; strong preference near Orlando (ORL), Opa-locka (OPF), Teterboro (TEB). Candidates near Providence and Boston are also encouraged.

Schedule & Base

• Established 17 on / 13 off rotation providing balanced time at home.
• East Coast basing with preference for Orlando, FL; Opa-locka, FL; Teterboro, NJ; Providence, RI; or Boston, MA.
