Job summary

Fender Musical Instruments Corporation is seeking a Sander to join our team in California. This role involves sanding, buffing, and fitting raw wood parts to achieve a finished polished appearance as the final step in guitar production.

Responsibilities include following supervisor directions, maintaining quality and schedule, inspecting units, and ensuring safety practices are followed on the factory floor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Communicates and works well with others.
• Safety commitment.
• Good hand dexterity.
• Read and interpret work instructions.
• Basic knowledge of the correct use of hand power tools.
• Guitar or musical background preferred but not required.
• Ability to adhere to safety procedures and wear PPE on the factory floor.

Responsibilities

• Sand parts to specific detailed requirements.
• Follow instructions as directed by Supervisor.
• Ensure own production conforms to quality and schedule requirements.
• Inspect input/output quality of all units processed.
• Follow approved procedures to complete all tasks.
• Maintain a clean, repaired and organized work area.
• Handle and store regulated materials per policy and regulations.
