Job summary

Fender Musical Instruments Corporation is seeking a Sander to join our team in California. This role involves sanding, buffing, and fitting raw wood parts to achieve a finished polished appearance as the final step in guitar production.

Responsibilities include following supervisor directions, maintaining quality and schedule, inspecting units, and ensuring safety practices are followed on the factory floor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Communicates and works well with others.
• Safety commitment.
• Good hand dexterity.
• Read and interpret work instructions.
• Basic knowledge of the correct use of hand power tools.
• Guitar or musical background preferred but not required.
• Ability to adhere to safety procedures and wear PPE on the factory floor.

We are currently searching for a Sander to join our team. TheSanderforBuff and Polishwill demonstrate all aspects of sanding, processing, and fitting of raw wood parts. Performs a variety of hand and/or machine operations to buff and polish bodies or necks to a finished polished appearance as the final process of the guitar. Additionally, the ability to execute repairs, inspect prior to final acceptance and final process are all required.

Essential Functions:

• Sand parts to specific detailed requirements
• Follow instructions as directed by Supervisor
• Ensures own production conforms to requirements of quality and schedule.
• Inspects input/output quality requirements on all units processed.
• Follows approved procedures to complete all assigned tasks
• Maintains work area in a clean, repaired and organized manner
• Handles and stores all regulated materials in compliance with company policy, state and federal regulations and in accordance to the material safety data sheets
• Additional duties as assigned
