Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced Guidewire Technical Lead to drive design, development, and delivery of PolicyCenter and BillingCenter solutions. You will lead GWCP upgrades, cloud modernization, and complex integrations while coordinating onsite-offshore delivery teams.

The role requires deep Guidewire expertise, strong Java/SQL skills, and a track record in enterprise environments. Leadership, stakeholder engagement, and agile delivery experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with Guidewire solutions, including hands-on PolicyCenter and BillingCenter.
• Strong experience with GWCP, cloud upgrades and modernization initiatives.
• Proven experience leading onsite-offshore delivery models in enterprise environments.
• Experience Gosu, Java, SQL, and Guidewire integrations, REST APIs, SOAP services, and integration patterns.
• Guidewire certifications are highly preferred.
• Experience in Agile delivery environments is desirable.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Guidewire Technical Lead with deep expertise in Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP) to lead delivery, cloud modernization, production support, and enhancement initiatives. This role will be responsible for driving technical architecture, integration strategies, cloud upgrades, and end-to-end solution delivery within the Guidewire ecosystem. The ideal candidate will combine strong hands-on Guidewire development expertise with leadership capabilities, stakeholder engagement, and experience managing onsite-offshore delivery teams. The position requires a solid understanding of Property & Casualty Insurance processes and Guidewire best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, implementation, and support of Guidewire PolicyCenter and BillingCenter solutions.
• Drive Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP) initiatives, including upgrades, platform modernization, environment management, and cloud adoption activities.
• Provide technical leadership across production support, enhancement projects, defect resolution, and application lifecycle management.
• Design and implement integrations between Guidewire applications and enterprise systems using REST, SOAP, messaging, and API-based architectures.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and delivery teams to define technical solutions aligned with business requirements.
• Perform architecture reviews, code reviews, technical design validation, and enforce Guidewire development best practices.
• Lead onsite-offshore delivery teams, coordinate development activities, and ensure delivery quality across multiple workstreams.
• Support release planning, deployment activities, performance optimization, and production stability initiatives.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to Guidewire developers and engineering teams.
• Partner with business and IT leadership to drive continuous improvement, modernization, and cloud transformation initiatives within the Guidewire ecosystem.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience working with Guidewire solutions, including significant hands‑on expertise in PolicyCenter and BillingCenter.
• Strong experience with Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP), cloud upgrades, cloud deployments, and modernization initiatives.
• Expertise in Gosu, Java, SQL, Guidewire integrations, REST APIs, SOAP services, and enterprise application integration patterns.
• Proven experience supporting production systems, enhancement projects, release management, and cloud migration programs.
• Strong understanding of Property & Casualty Insurance business processes, policy administration, billing, and insurance operations.
• Experience leading technical teams and managing onsite‑offshore delivery models in enterprise environments.
• Strong technical architecture, troubleshooting, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Experience delivering large‑scale Guidewire Cloud implementation, migration, or support programs.
• Guidewire Cloud, PolicyCenter, and BillingCenter certifications are highly preferred.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments and modern software engineering practices is desirable.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $[113,000 - 132,500] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
