Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Helps students evaluate interests, aptitudes, abilities, and educational planning.

• Assists students in developing self-confidence and interpersonal skills.
• Assists students in analyzing learning styles and improving study skills.
• Schedules and participates in placement meetings.
• Confers with teachers and parents as needed.

REPORTS TO:

Building Principal

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Workswith students individually, in small groups, and in the classroom.

2. Guidesin the decision making processes concerning academics and personal/social development.

3. Helpsstudents evaluate their interests, aptitudes, abilities, and personalcharacteristics for educational planning.

4. Consults with outside resources/agencies to maximize and coordinate the use of available services.

5. Consults with parents regarding their children, family counseling on school related issues, and meetings for special purposes.

6. Providesservices and expertise to and for the students, teachers, administrators, parents, and community.

7. Assists students in developing self-confidence and a positive self-concept.

8.Assists students in strengthening interpersonal skills.

9. Assistsstudents in analyzing personal learning styles and improving individual study skills.

10. Schedules, attends and presents at placement meetings.

11. Confers with teachers and parents whenever necessary.

12. Performs all other related duties as required.

TERM:

205 Days.
