Job summary

Courtyard by Marriott Parkside Cary, NC is seeking a Houseman/Room Attendant to clean guest rooms and public areas to Marriott standards. You will respond to guest needs professionally, restock supplies, and coordinate with team members to ensure consistent service throughout the property.

The role requires standing for long periods, lifting, and moving cleaning equipment. Flexibility with shifts, including weekends, is expected to meet guest demand.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is preferred.
• Ability to work with others and communicate politely with guests.
• Ability to follow daily assignment sheets and prioritize tasks.
• Ability to lift and move supplies, stand for long periods, and perform cleaning duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of guest rooms and public areas according to Marriott standards.
• Respond to guest requests in a courteous and timely manner.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean rooms and corridors as assigned.
• Restock and organize cleaning supplies and linens in storerooms.
• Handle laundry tasks including sorting, washing, folding, and storage of linens.
• Report maintenance issues and assist with deep cleaning and special projects.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and wear hotel-issued uniform properly.
