Job summary

UW Health Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, IL is seeking a Guest Relations - Transporter to Safely transport and escort patients and visitors throughout the hospital. You will perform equipment inspections, maintain wheelchairs and carts, and deliver outstanding customer service with professionalism and compassion.

The role supports a secure, efficient healthcare environment by upholding confidentiality and following hospital policies.

Guest Relations - Transporter

• Safely transport and escort patients, visitors, and guests throughout the hospital using wheelchairs or the Concourse Caddy (golf cart) while providing exceptional customer service.

• Create a welcoming and positive experience by assisting patients and visitors with professionalism, respect, and compassion.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and maintain wheelchairs, caddies, and related supplies to ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper operation.
• Support a safe, efficient healthcare environment by maintaining accurate records, protecting patient confidentiality, and following established policies and procedures.

Work Schedule:

100% FTE, Monday - Friday 6:00am - 6:00pm, you will work at UW Health Swedish American Hospital 1401 E State St.

Additional components of compensation may include:

Evening, night, and weekend shift differential

Overtime
