Position Purpose And Summary

The Guest Services Representative ("GSR") must demonstrate a strong commitment to providing the best guest experience. Responsibilities include assisting guests, answering phones, checking guests in and out, collecting payments, and completing front office paperwork. The GSR also ensures safety and security procedures are followed for all associates and guests.

Major / Key Job Duties
  1. Provide exceptional guest service, responding promptly to guest requests.
  2. Resolve guest issues using the Make it Right process, embodying ESA's service culture with respect and kindness.
  3. Process reservations, check-ins, check-outs, and payments following company guidelines.
  4. Handle collection efforts for in-house balances and maintain cash, credit, and ledger accounts.
  5. Set up, maintain, and dismantle breakfast displays timely.
  6. Keep work areas organized and clean, including the front desk, lobby, and guest areas.
  7. Promote and sell ESA's value to inquiries, converting them into reservations.
  8. Gather relevant guest information, identify sales opportunities, and follow up accordingly.
  9. Conduct property tours to ensure standards are met.
  10. Assist with guest requests and provide accommodations as practical.
  11. Adhere to safety, security, and company policies, reporting issues promptly.
Other Duties
  1. Maintain overall hotel cleanliness, assisting with cleaning and upkeep of various areas.
  2. Participate in cross-training in housekeeping and laundry to provide flexible support.
  3. Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Compensation

Pay ranges vary by state, e.g., California: $16.50 - $23.00, Colorado: $16.00 - $19.00, etc., subject to change based on experience and location.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies
  • Proficient in English communication.
  • Experience with property management systems preferred.
  • Ability to follow safety and operational instructions.
  • Basic math skills and good judgment.
  • Problem-solving skills for guest issues.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED, or 1-3 months related experience, or equivalent.
