Job summary

Oak View Group's Moody Center in Austin offers a Guest Services Premium Concierge role focused on delivering world-class hospitality to premium guests at UT games, concerts, family shows, and private events. Shifts include nights, weekends, and holidays, with an hourly rate of $18. This part-time position also supports the Premium Services team and involves teamwork in a vibrant arena

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hospitality/sports/entertainment experience.
• Experience in a high-profile customer service-based industry is preferred.
• Average of eight events worked per month.
• Ability to follow instructions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable handling conflicts with urgency and professionalism.
• Proactive self-starter and able to work collaboratively.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Comfortable working in an environment with loud noise levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent, world-class hospitality throughout all premium spaces.
• Conduct pre-event walk-throughs of premium spaces to ensure expectations are met for premium members.
• Proactively welcome and assist guests.
• Identify opportunities to create memorable experiences and lasting relationships with members.
• Understand, retain, and communicate safety and security measures.
• Display a professional demeanor and effective communication.
• Resolve guests’ complaints and concerns per arena policies and procedures.
• Support lines and provide guidance for premium locations and other arena areas.
• Perform thorough ticket checks, scans, and access for premium spaces.
• Maintain clear portals, aisles, and access paths for guests, staff, and emergency services.
• Assist guests with accommodations, including wheelchair escort services.
• Collaborate with Premium Services to meet expectations for guest satisfaction.
• Report suspicious activity to supervisors/management.
• Complete related paperwork as necessary.
• Frequent bending, lifting, walking, and standing for extended periods.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

The Guest Services Premium Concierge is responsible for providing an exceptional level of world-class service to all premium guests, clients, and partners at all events. Including, but not limited to, University of Texas home basketball games, major concerts, family shows, and smaller, private events. This position is ideal for candidates with hospitality experience, superb customer service skills, and a flexible schedule. This role requires having a positive attitude and service-oriented disposition, as well as a team-driven and proactive mindset. Shifts include nights, weekends, and holidays. This role pays an hourly rate of $18.00. This position will remain open until December 31, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent, world-class hospitality throughout all premium spaces

• Works to resolve guests’ complaints and concerns in accordance with the arena’s policies and procedures


• Support lines and provide guidance and directions for premium locations and other arena areas


• Perform thorough ticket checks, scans, and access for valid entrance into premium spaces


• Maintain clear portals, aisles, and access paths for guests, staff, and emergency services


• Assist guests with reasonable requests for accommodations, including but not limited to wheelchair escort services


• Collaborate with the Premium Services department to ensure all expectations are met within designated spaces for guest, client, and partner satisfaction


• Reports any suspicious activity to supervisors and/or management


• Complete and submit related paperwork, as necessary


• Frequent bending, lifting, extensive walking through the building, and standing for extended periods of time


• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 2+ years of prior experience within a hospitality, sports, entertainment, or related field


• Experience in a high-profile customer service-based industry is preferred


• An average of eight (8) events worked per month. Event requirements are subject to change with notice


• Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment


• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills


• Comfortable with handling conflicts and responding to guest problems with a sense of urgency and professionalism


• Proactive self-starter and able to work collaboratively


• Requires ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in addition to normal business hours.


• Must be comfortable working in an environment with loud noise levels.
