Job summary

Oak View Group is seeking a Sustainability Lead to join the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, for overnight shifts as a part-time role. The position focuses on implementing sustainable practices both on event days and non-event days, reporting to the Sustainability Manager.

The role pays an hourly rate of $20.00 and includes benefits for part-time roles such as 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) Matching. The job remains open until December 11, 2026, and the candidate should be able to work overnight,

Qualifications

• Ability to work overnight shifts is required.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, bend, push, reach, and lift heavy objects/materials during the sorting process.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have a strong work ethic and sense of teamwork.
• Must have an acute attention to detail and ability to abide by all rules and safety precautions.
• Lead experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a lead for the sustainability part-time crew for overnight shifts.
• Work alongside staff for overnight waste sorting shifts, ensuring all work is complete and all procedures are followed.
• Assist with the everyday and post-event sorting process of all recyclables, compostables, and landfill materials.
• Thoroughly inspect and ensure all materials are handled properly and sorted into their correct receptacles; pull incorrectly sorted materials if needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment by ensuring the Recovery Room is properly and thoroughly sanitized and kept in an orderly state before, during, and after shifts.
• Adhere to standard operating and safety procedures while operating and maintaining all equipment within the Recovery Room.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

The Sustainability Lead will report directly to the Sustainability Manager. This position will support the Sustainability department in its endeavors to implement sustainable practices within the venue on and off event days and non-event days.

This role pays an hourly rate of $20.00.
