Job summary

Granby Ranch in Granby, Colorado is seeking a Guest Services Host to be the front-line ambassador and deliver exceptional guest service across the resort. You will greet guests, assist with inquiries, and help with check-ins and account setup on tablets to speed the process.

Responsibilities include resolving guest concerns, supporting ticketing, rentals, retail, and scanning operations, collaborating with ski school, rentals, and lift ops, and maintaining a welcoming, safe environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or actively enrolled.
• Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and peak seasons.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests enthusiastically and provide accurate information about the resort.

• Help guests create online accounts/profile on a tablet to speed check-in.
• Monitor and scan passes at the designated Homeowner Lane at lifts.
• Resolve guest concerns promptly; escalate to management when needed.
• Support ticketing, rentals, retail, and scanning operations when required.
• Collaborate with ski school, rentals, retail, lift operations for a seamless guest journey.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the main hallway and outside areas.
• Stay informed about events, mountain operations, and weather to relay accurate info.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Guest Services Host is the front-line ambassador of Granby Ranch, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to all guests. You will assist visitors with information, resolve guest concerns, and ensure a welcoming and seamless mountain experience. You will support ticketing, rentals, retail, and scanning operations when needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Greet guests with enthusiasm and provide accurate, friendly, and helpful information about the resort, mountain conditions, activities, and services.
• Assist with guest check-ins and general inquiries at locations needed.
• Assist guests with creating their online accounts/profile on a tablet to speed up the check-in process.
• Monitor and scan passes at the designated Homeowner Lane at the lifts.
• Resolve guest concerns or issues promptly and professionally; elevate to manager/supervisor when necessary.
• Monitor and manage guest flow in high-traffic areas to ensure a positive experience.
• Collaborate with other departments (ski school, rentals, retail, lift operations, etc.) to support a seamless guest journey.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the main hallway and outside areas where guests will be at.
• Stay informed about daily events, mountain operations, and weather updates to relay accurate information to guests.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Commercial Operations Manager or supervisor.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with Rentals, Retail, Scanning and Ski School departments when needed and as requested.
• Opportunity to be certified to tech ski equipment.
• Learn how to boot fit to assist with Rental department.
• Have an understanding on all products to ensure excellent communication with guests.
• Learn how to sell and promote retail offerings at the POS.
• Assist with Ticket Scanning outside during lunch breaks, high-volume season, and when needed.
• Maintain an exceptional level of professionalism in all interactions with guests, fellow employees, and other department managers.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or equivalent or actively enrolled in High School.
• Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Must be able to lift up to 30lbs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a variety of weather conditions.
• Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and peak season periods.
