JOB DESCRIPTION: Guest Services Experience Associate
DEPARTMENT: Zoo – Guest Services
REPORTS TO: Visitor Experience Operations Manager and the Manager on Duty
SHIFT: Part-time: Generally Tuesday – Sunday, nights, weekends, and holidays may be required. Maximum of 29 hours per week.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure that each Guest receives outstanding Guest Service by providing a welcoming, friendly, and positive environment for every guest. This includes greeting and acknowledging every guest, maintaining outstanding standards, demonstrating solid product knowledge and all other components of Guest Service.
- Assist with crowd control and line management while maintaining positive and engaging interactions with guests.
- Maintain assigned location zone & surrounding environment in the form of but not limited to: garbage clean-up, leaf and debris pickup and cleanliness of machinery.
- Complete daily operational and maintenance tasks as it pertains to multiple locations.
- Assist with inventory control, merchandise receiving, stocking, replenishment, monitoring of floor stock, etc.
- Ensure merchandise and other necessary supplies are restocked daily and displayed appropriately.
- Will be required to work Zoo & Serengeti Springs related special events as needed and assist with event setup, guest support, and breakdown.
- Maintain current knowledge of all product knowledge information, including tickets, season passes, annual passes, animal experiences, merchandise promotions, test merchandise, advertisements, and other guest-facing information.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and operational practices including requirements related to signage, pricing, cash handling, and loss prevention.
- Display knowledge of opening and closing procedures for all assigned locations, including but not limited to:
- Zoo Ticket Booth
- Serengeti Springs Ticket Booth
- Serengeti Springs Market
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge and Skills:
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work under pressure and remain calm, professional, and effective during high-traffic days, peak operating periods, and special events
- Must be highly energetic, motivated, and enthusiastic about creating exceptional guest experiences.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
