Michigan International Speedway Job Opportunity

Nestled on more than 1,400 acres in the Irish Hills of Southeastern Michigan, Michigan International Speedway is a track rich in racing history. It has been the love of NASCAR racing and the thrill of a great time that has made it a favorite among race fans and drivers alike for over 50 years. The speedway features more than 12 campgrounds and is the largest registered campground in Michigan. In addition to two major racing weekends, it hosts events throughout the year, including the MIS Backyard Hockey Tournament, Faster Horses Festival, and Nite Lites.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Transporting and assisting guests, including ADA guests
• Scanning tickets
• Assisting guests at admissions gates and inside the grandstands
• Checking for proper credentials
• Inspecting bags and coolers for prohibited items
• Assisting guests at information booths
• Driving trams and serving as an onboard tram ambassador or attendant at tram stops
• Greeting and assisting campers
• Monitoring assigned campgrounds

Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18 years
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
• Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions for extended periods
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Positive, friendly, and outgoing attitude
• Adherence to dress code and maintaining a clean, professional appearance
• Ability to work collaboratively and follow instructions
• Quick learner and trainable
• Reliable transportation to and from the track
