MICHIGAN INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY

Nestled on more than 1,400 acres in the Irish Hills of Southeastern Michigan, Michigan International Speedway is a track rich in racing history. It has been the love of NASCAR racing and the thrill of a great time that has made it a favorite of race fans and drivers alike for more than 50 years. Michigan International Speedway has more than 12 campgrounds and is the state of Michigan’s largest registered campground. In addition to two great weekends of racing, the speedway is home to events throughout the year including the MIS Backyard Hockey Tournament, Faster Horses Festival and Nite Lites.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Transporting and assisting guests, including ADA guests.
  2. Scanning tickets.
  3. Assisting guests at admissions gates and inside the grandstands.
  4. Checking for proper credentials.
  5. Inspecting bags and coolers and checking guests for prohibited items.
  6. Assisting guests at information booths.
  7. Driving trams, being an onboard tram ambassador, or serving as an attendant at tram stops.
  8. Greeting and assisting campers.
  9. Roaming/monitoring assigned campgrounds.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Minimum age 18 years old.
  2. Strong communication and customer service skills.
  3. Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
  4. Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions for extended periods.
  5. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as assigned.
  6. Positive attitude, friendly and outgoing.
  7. Must follow dress code and have a clean, presentable appearance at all times.
  8. Ability to work with others and take direction.
  9. Must learn quickly and be trainable.
  10. Reliable transportation to and from the track location.
