Job summary

Spooky Nook Sports Ohio LLC is seeking a Guest Services Event Day Staff member for the admission booth at our large indoor sports complex. The role focuses on greeting guests, scanning tickets, verifying credentials, and maintaining welcoming order for events.

Starting pay is $14/hr with weekend and occasional weekday availability required. This is a part-time position with benefits and holiday pay options, based in Hamilton, OH at the Spooky Nook complex.

Qualifications

• Fluent knowledge of English and ability to read and interpret information.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.

Responsibilities

• Scan admission tickets at entry.
• Verify guests' credentials and keep order at the booth.
• Serve as a central resource for the Spooky Nook community.
• Remain calm during busy or stressful guest interactions.
• Follow cash handling policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Description

The Guest Services Event Day Staff primarily focuses on the greeting and entry responsibilities of events, including scanning admission tickets, checking guests' credentials, maintaining common area order and cleanliness, and promoting a friendly and welcoming environment for guests. This position will be conducted primarily from an admission booth.

Pay:

Starting pay is $14/hr.

Schedule:

Weekend availability required. Occasional holidays and weekdays. Complex hours for events are 6a-10p with 6 to 8 hour shifts. This position’s starting day will be November 7th/8th.

Essential Job Functions

• Scanning guest service tickets upon entry
• Verifying guests/staff have proper credentials
• Acts as central resource for entire Spooky Nook Sports community
• Remains calm during member/participant interactions involving urgent or stressful matters
• Follows all cash handling policies and procedures
• All other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

• OH Child Abuse Clearance and FBI Fingerprint Criminal History Clearance: Must be dated within the past 5 years and specifically for employment (not volunteer).
• NOTE: If you do not have already these clearances, you will be provided with instructions when an offer of employment is made. Results can take up to 4-6 weeks. Both clearances must be presented before employment can begin.
• 18 years of age or older
• Comfortable w/ iPad/technology
• Dependable transportation to and from work
• Language skills: Fluent knowledge of the English language; including the ability to read and interpret written information and speak and understand verbal communication
• Ability to fulfill the physical requirements of the position with any reasonable accommodations as necessary
• Availability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as needed
