Job summary

Smart & Final in Fontana, CA is seeking a Service Clerk to support customers, maintain carts, and assist with loading merchandise and vehicles. The role requires reading and writing English, basic PC skills, and ability to lift up to 60 pounds.

You will ensure price checks, proper shelf restocking, and keep entrances and restrooms clean throughout the day. The position is part of the Chedraui USA group, with a focus on excellent customer service and community presence.

Qualifications

• Read and write English and interact with customers and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Present information clearly in one-to-one or small group settings.
• Follow written or oral instructions with common sense.

Responsibilities

• Collect and organize shopping carts inside the store and in the parking lot.
• Assist customers with loading merchandise and vehicles as needed.
• Check shelf prices for check stand personnel.
• Return mis-shelved items and restock shelves.
• Maintain store entrance and restrooms cleanliness throughout the day.
