Job summary

Highgate Hotels in Hawaii seeks a friendly Bellperson to help guests with luggage, escort them to rooms, and share hotel services and local attractions. This hourly, full-time position emphasizes courteous, efficient guest interactions and teamwork with the front desk.

You will handle luggage, assist guests with room changes, and contribute to a positive stay while maintaining hotel standards and safety practices.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license for the applicable state.
• Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.
• Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing; listen and clarify concerns.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload luggage carts.
• Organize and deliver luggage for tour groups.
• Escort guests to rooms and familiarize them with hotel services.
• Inspect guest rooms and ensure supplies are adequate.
• Explain room features and operation of devices.
• Check/store luggage with tags.
• Deliver messages, flowers, laundry, and other amenities.
• Assist with room changes and guest requests.
• Maintain local attractions and transportation information.
• Support front desk and showcase hotel amenities.
