Job summary

SpartanNash’s Grand Rapids location is seeking a part-time Guest Services Associate to provide courteous service in-store and by phone. You will operate the register, assist with self-checkouts, and handle various guest transactions and inquiries.

Your role requires strong verbal communication, reliability, and basic arithmetic. Prior retail experience is a plus, and you’ll work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment in Grand Rapids.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of prior retail or related experience preferred.
• Good verbal communication skills; ability to interact politely and effectively with customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous guest service in person or by telephone; answer calls and direct to the appropriate department.
• Process guest services transactions, including credits, refunds, money orders, and coupons per policy.
• Operate cash register and assist guests with self-checkouts; handle products across departments.
• Maintain understanding of store programs, locations, and promotions; inform customers of specials and loyalty programs.
• Keep department clean, stocked, and compliant with safety and sanitation standards.
