Job summary

Longwood Gardens is seeking part‑time Guest Services Associates to join our Guest Engagement team to provide hospitality, operational support, and guest well‑being year‑round. You'll engage guests, assist with wayfinding, and support events both indoors and outdoors, including shuttles and photography sessions.

The ideal candidate delivers exceptional service, can work evenings, weekends and holidays, and may drive the garden shuttle. Training and a diverse, inclusive environment are provided.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and strong communication skills.
• Ability to proactively assist guests in a friendly, respectful manner.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods and work outdoors.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Proactive interaction with guests and coworkers using Longwood Gardens standards of hospitality.
• Support events both indoors and outdoors, including hosting coat checks, answering questions, assisting guests with wayfinding, driving garden golf cart shuttles, supporting event photography sessions and logistics.
• Monitoring and preparing assigned areas for guest readiness, including signage, wayfinding, and crowd control during peak times.
• Operating the garden golf cart shuttles and vehicles.
• Identifying, reporting, and responding to safety concerns in accordance with Longwood policy.
• Participating in training sessions and meetings to improve guest interactions.
