Job summary

Green Meadows Farms is seeking a Guest Services Associate II to manage POS stations and assist customers with medical and recreational cannabis products, plus cover the medical desk. You will advise customers, educate on safe use, verify age, and process payments with the POS system.

Beyond sales, you will keep the dispensary clean and stocked, learn product details, participate in vault-related tasks, and support marketing initiatives while adhering to Massachusetts CCC regulations.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer facing experience in Retail or Hospitality.
• Comfortable working with computers, preferably retail POS systems.
• Ability to learn and understand cannabinoids and the endocannabinoid system in the human body.

Responsibilities

• Advise customers on cannabis products based on needs, preferences, budgets, and reactions to strains.
• Label cannabis products for the retail vault when requested.
• Educate customers on safe use of cannabis products.
• Check IDs to verify legal age.
• Process customer payments using the dispensary POS system.
• Stay informed on new products and industry trends through training and research.
• Maintain a clean, organized dispensary floor at all times.
• Take inventory and ensure shelves are stocked.
• Participate in periodic dispensary cleaning and vault closing activities.
• Follow company SOPs based on Massachusetts CCC Regulations.
• Support GMF marketing initiatives.

Position Summary

Guest Services Associate II works and manages POS stations to sell medical and recreational products as well as cover the medical desk.

Primary Responsibilities

• Independently advises customers on suitable cannabis products based on their needs, preferences, budgets, and reactions to different strains of cannabis
• Correctly label cannabis products when asked of assistance from the retail vault
• Educate customers on the safe use of their selected cannabis products
• Check customers' identification documents to verify that they are of legal age
• Process customers' payments using the dispensary / retail's POS system
• Keep abreast of new additions to our cannabis product line as well as the latest industry trends through training and research
• Ensure the dispensary is clean and well‑organized at all times
• Take inventory of cannabis products and ensure that the sales floor is adequately stocked
• Will have periodical dispensary cleaning duties included but not limited to break rooms, bathrooms, sweeping etc.
• May participate in closing activities for the inventory vault area
• Ability to review and follow company SOPs which are based on the CCC Regulations for the State of Massachusetts
• Engaging and supporting GMF’s marketing initiatives

Minimum Experience

• 1+ years of customer facing experience in the Retail or Hospitality Industries
• Comfortable working with computers, preferably retail POS systems
• Ability to learn and understand cannabinoids and the natural function of the endocannabinoid system in the human body

Preferred Experience

• Ability to speak more than one language (preferably Spanish)
• Foundational understanding of sales and upselling of products

Physical Requirements

• Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking
• Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing
• Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
• Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching
• Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights, up to 75 pounds
• Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases

Hours & Conditions

Must be available to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Adapt schedule to work alongside the changing demands.

• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
• Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
