Job summary

Columbia Care in Rockville, MD is seeking a dedicated Sales Associate to guide patients through medical cannabis selections and ensure accurate medication recommendations. You will help patients choose products that best fit their health needs.

The role requires 20–28 hours per week, including weekends, with a starting pay of $17.65/hour plus tips. Prior retail or POS experience is a strong plus, and you’ll contribute to a high standard of customer service in a busy dispensary environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Two years of direct customer service experience required.
• Retail experience a strong plus.
• Experience with Point-of-Sales systems.
• Understanding of Windows OS and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all intake forms and other paperwork are properly completed and filed, then enter information in ADILAS for future reference.
• Confirm patient purchase limits prior to admission into the consultation area and inform the pharmacist of such limits.
• Provide exceptional customer care by promoting and maintaining positive customer relations.
• Respond to calls or emails from customers requesting product, training, and general information.
• Manage patient records through the MMJ database; maintain and update databases as needed.
• Fulfill customer orders and promote Columbia Care products.
• Build and maintain integrity and trust for specific products.

Position Overview

Under general supervision, Sales Associates provide guidance and education to each patient with medical marijuana needs. Associates assist every patient to ensure he or she is receiving the correct medication that will best benefit the patient’s specific illness and medical condition.

Schedule

Must be able to work 20-28 hours a week according to our dispensary hours including weekends.

Pay

$17.65/hour + tips!

Major Areas Of Responsibility

• Ensures all intake forms and other paperwork is properly completed and filed correctly, then enters all appropriate information in ADILAS for future reference.

Minimum Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge & Abilities)
