Job summary

South Carolina Aquarium is seeking a part-time Guest Services Associate in Charleston, SC. The role supports visitors with ticketing, memberships, and guest experiences in an outdoor, standing environment. Weekend availability and participation in holiday shifts are required; uniform shirts and outerwear are provided.

Pay is $15 per hour, with flexible hours up to about 30 per week. Ideal candidates are friendly, customer-focused, and able to promote programs while delivering high-quality

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality, tourism, retail, or customer service is a plus.
• Must be available weekends and around holidays.
• Comfortable standing for long periods and working outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet guests and promote programs and initiatives.
• Sell and scan tickets (cash-handling experience recommended).
• Promote and sell memberships (computer experience required).
• Operate golf cart rides to/from parking (valid driver’s license required).
• Assist with crowd flow, safety, and organization; use radio for communications.
• Process groups visiting for school field trips.
