Job summary

South Carolina Aquarium in Charleston is seeking a Seasonal AGLOW Guest Services Associate to greet guests, sell tickets, and assist with crowd management during Aquarium Aglow.

Evening shifts are 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. on select November and December nights; uniforms are provided, and this outdoor winter role includes a $200 bonus after final shift in good standing.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality, tourism, retail, or customer service is a plus.
• Available weekends and evenings around holidays.
• Must be available evenings 5 p.m. – 9 p.m on select nights.
• Outdoor work readiness in winter months.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with enthusiasm and help them navigate the Aquarium Aglow experience.
• Sell and scan tickets, answer questions, and provide excellent customer service.
• Assist with crowd flow, safety, and end-of-night breakdown.

Join the South Carolina Aquarium team for a fun, short-term gig during our dazzling Aquarium Aglow event. This is a 7-week seasonal position perfect for college students, gig workers, or anyone looking to earn extra cash in a festive, fast-paced environment.

Quick Highlights:

Evening shifts from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. on select nights in November and December

Guaranteed days off: November 26 (Thanksgiving), December 24 & 25 (Christmas)

Full availability required between December 16 - December 31

Aquarium provides uniform shirts and outerwear

This is an outdoor position during winter months- dress warmly and bring your holiday spirit!
