Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality at The Colony Hotel in Maine is seeking a Front Desk Agent to create a welcoming guest experience from arrival through check-out.

The role requires a friendly, engaging personality with strong verbal communication and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting. Requires standing for shifts and weekend/holiday availability; compensation ranges from $18.00 to $19.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• At least one year in a customer service role with high guest interaction.
• Hospitality industry experience is a plus.
• Ability to solve problems when they arise.
• Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our guests by providing exceptional customer service.
• Engage with guests and take notes on their preferences.
• Explain hotel amenities and be knowledgeable about hotel events and entertainment.
• Be ahead of the guest and anticipate needs.
• Communicate with other departments regarding guest preferences and reservation requests.
• Perform concierge duties with local dining suggestions and activities, and assist with making reservations.
• Keep Front Desk area neat, clean, and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Assist with guest billing questions and cashiering.
• Complete shift reports and be knowledgeable of previous shift information.
