Job summary

Sarasota Art Ovation Hotel in Sarasota, FL is seeking a Front Desk Agent to provide warm, efficient service at the on-site front desk. You will handle check-ins and check-outs, process payments, print daily reports, and share local recommendations with guests.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, at least one year of customer service experience, and strong communication skills. Spanish or English bilingual ability is a plus; computer skills are preferred to support hotel operations.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum one year customer service experience; previous hotel experience preferred.
• Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
• Computer experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.

Responsibilities

• Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
• Process all check-ins and check-outs according to established hotel requirements.
• Adhere to payment, cash handling and credit policies/procedures.
• Generate, print, and distribute daily reports to designated departments/personnel.
• Resolve discrepancies on the room status report with Housekeeping.
• Other duties as assigned.
