Essential Job Function:
Guest Service Supervisor is responsible for supervision of store operations and personnel in the absence of the store manager and assistant manager. The Guest Service Supervisor will ensure company policies and procedures are followed; while delivering a high level of customer service, store safety and appearance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure a quality buying experience for all customers
  2. Make daily bank deposits by noon
  3. Review end of day reports and assist in preparation of daily paperwork banking functions as assigned by manager
  4. Coach and direct employees to provide excellent customer service
  5. Maintain an awareness of cleanliness both inside and outside of the store
  6. Light equipment and yard maintenance
  7. Order and receive merchandise utilizing inventory ordering guidelines
  8. Implement all Company promotional initiatives
  9. Maintaining cash and inventory control during all supervised shifts
  10. Pricebook maintenance
  11. Ordering merchandise
  12. Audit cashier paperwork for accuracy
  13. Report all environment, maintenance issues and unusual occurrences to the proper authority as well as management personnel
  14. Ability to communicate with associates and guests
  15. Ability to count, read and write accurately to complete required tasks

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent
  2. Ability to work unsupervised
  3. Flexibility to work weekend, holiday and/or evening shifts
  4. Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
  5. Ability to communicate with associates and guests
  6. Must attend mandatory meetings (i.e. T.A.M., sexual harassment)

Physical Requirements:

  1. Frequent bending, reaching, lifting of 1 to 15 lbs
  2. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs on occasion
  3. Reaching above shoulder height and bending below waist
  4. Be able to freely access all areas of the store
  5. Move quickly around store

CT Wage Disclosure: $16-17/hr
