Job summary

Mayflower Park Hotel in Seattle seeks a friendly, courteous server to present food and beverage service, set tables, and perform other duties related to dining. Deliver food to guests dining in the restaurant, ensure guest satisfaction with their meals, and maintain safe serving practices throughout the dining area.

Responsibilities include stocking glassware, clearing and cleaning tables, wiping surfaces, handling trash, and participating in deep cleaning of the outlet.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language used in the workplace.
• Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must have excellent customer relations skills.
• Must be detail oriented with outstanding organizational and communication skills.
• Must possess basic computer skills.
• Must possess basic computational ability.
• Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy and collect accurate information to resolve conflicts.
• Knowledgeable about basic function of Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, and POS.
• Self-driven and able to work independently.
• Exceptionally strong in issue resolution and proven analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of table and bar service.
• Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware.
• Ability to describe all menu items and methods of preparation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food to guests dining in restaurant.
• Ensure guest satisfaction with their food.
• Ensure serve corridor safety by transporting all equipment in the proper manner.
• Ensure that all spills and breakage are attended to immediately and proper safety procedures are followed.
• Stocks restaurant items such as glassware, straws, toothpicks, napkins, silverware, ice, and cleaning supplies.
• Clears tables throughout the dining experience using proper methods for removing dishes, glassware, and silverware.
• Cleans bar and table surfaces throughout the shift.
• Wipes down chairs, railings, and other high-touch surfaces.
• Removes and disposes bags from trash receptacles in and around the bar area.
• Participate in the deep cleaning of the outlet.
• Assists service team as necessary to meet and exceed guest expectations.
• All other duties assigned by managers and supervisors.
