A Guest Services Agent is responsible for greeting and registering guests, checking guests out, and ensuring an outstanding guest experience while supporting the hotel's financial goals.

What will I be doing?

As a Guest Services Agent, your responsibilities include:

  • Greeting guests, completing registration, inputting and retrieving information from the computer, confirming guest details, selecting rooms, coding electronic keys, promoting marketing programs, providing welcome packets, and guiding guests to their rooms or assisting with luggage.
  • Assisting guests with check-out procedures, ensuring accurate billing, processing payments, handling foreign currency, and managing gift certificates and cards.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of hotel offerings, including room types, rates, packages, promotions, and local area information, and answering guest inquiries.
  • Using up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and maximize occupancy.
  • Responding to guest requests and inquiries promptly and courteously.
  • Handling guest complaints, conducting research, and resolving issues to ensure satisfaction.
  • Receiving, relaying, and managing guest messages.
