Job summary

Homewood Suites By Hilton Jackson is seeking a friendly Guest Service Agent to deliver exceptional front desk service, assist guests with check-in/check-out and inquiries, and coordinate with housekeeping for smooth room status updates.

The role also involves operating the telephone system, processing reservations and payments, verifying authorizations, and handling guest feedback with care while maintaining a neat, secure workspace.

Qualifications

• Deliver exceptional guest service consistently.
• Strong verbal communication and active listening.
• Ability to use various computer applications.
• Availability on weekends/holidays with possible overtime.
• Guest service experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests with check-in/check-out and inquiries.
• Operate the hotel telephone system.
• Complete reports on reservations, cancellations, occupancy, and payments.
• Verify payments (cash and credit cards).
• Coordinate with housekeeping on room status and discrepancies.
• Handle guest complaints using the Guest Service Recovery method.
• Complete end-of-shift reports and deposits per cash-handling procedures.
• Report safety/security concerns.
• Maintain an organized work area.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Guest Service Agent

Provide exceptional guest service to hotel guests in a professional and genuinely friendly manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist guests with check-in/check-out or general inquiries.

• Operate the telephone system for internal/external calls.

• Complete reports regarding reservations, cancellations, occupancy, and payments.

• Verify payments including cash and credit card authorizations.

• Coordinate with housekeeping on room status and resolve discrepancies.

• Handle guest complaints using the Guest Service Recovery method.

• Complete endofshift reports and deposits per cash-handling procedures.

• Report safety/security concerns.

• Maintain an organized and clean work area.

• Perform other duties as needed or directed.

Qualifications
