Summary

Guest Service Agents are responsible for greeting and registering guests, providing outstanding service during their stay, and settling their accounts upon departure. Key duties include registering guests, managing reservations, and performing concierge tasks. They ensure attentive, courteous, and efficient service to maximize room revenue and occupancy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with guests, team members, and community with a positive attitude.
  • Adhere to Legacy Ventures Service standards and policies, including appearance, attendance, and safety.
  • Respond promptly to guest needs and inquiries, maintaining the 10-5 Rule.
  • Register guests, assign rooms, issue keys, and provide directions.
  • Manage mail, messages, and telephone communications efficiently.
  • Keep records of room availability and guest accounts.
  • Compute bills, process payments, and handle reservations and confirmations.
  • Post charges and arrange additional services like transportation and entertainment.
  • Secure guest valuables in the hotel safe.
  • Assist with reservations and switchboard duties as needed.
  • Use suggestive selling to maximize revenue.
  • Document guest requests and handle financial transactions securely.
  • Maintain proper uniform and name tag at all times.
  • Use guests' names at least three times during check-in and check-out.
  • Answer calls within three rings and respond to guest requests within 10 minutes.
  • Explain hotel services and directions to guests.
  • Handle incoming faxes and notify guests promptly.
  • Assist guests with problems, providing positive and professional interactions.
  • Communicate messages quickly and place courtesy calls to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Understand and contribute to the financial goals of the department and hotel.
Qualification Requirements
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
  • Self-motivated with a professional demeanor.
  • College degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills.
  • Computer literacy and financial management skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
  • Strong reasoning skills and ability to handle standardized problems.
Physical Demands

Regular standing, handling objects, talking, and hearing. Occasional walking and reaching. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Vision abilities include close, distance, and peripheral vision, among others.
