Job summary

Hampton Inn-Tunnel Road, Asheville, NC is seeking a Guest Service Agent to warmly greet guests, check them in and out efficiently, and manage reservations with care.

You’ll answer calls, assist guests with questions, coordinate with housekeeping, and help with the on-site treat shop. Weekend and holiday availability is expected, with benefits including insurance and paid vacation.

Qualifications

• Background in Hotel, food & beverage, retail, or Administrative preferred but not required.
• Organized and detail oriented.
• People person energy with a great smile.
• Reliable and on-time.
• Available for weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and make them feel at home from arrival to departure.
• Check in/check out guests efficiently, accurately, and warmly.
• Manage reservations, cancellations and room assignments.
• Answer calls and respond to guest questions and requests.
• Handle guest concerns with a calm problem-solving approach.
• Process payments and maintain accurate records.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure rooms are ready.
• Keep front desk tidy and inviting.
• Sell items from the treat shop and assist guests with purchases.
• Stock and organize the treat shop to stay fully supplied.

Schedule & Pay:

$16.00 for starters but based on experience!

Shifts: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM or 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Sell items from our treat shop (snacks, drinks, etc.) and assist guests with purchases
• Stock, organize, and keep the treat shop looking fresh and fully supplied

What We’re Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Basic computer skills (if you can learn apps, you can learn our system)
• Available for weekends & holidays (a hotel has beds, but never sleeps)
