Job summary

The Irvine Company’s The Resort at Pelican Hill is seeking a Security Officer to provide protective and enforcement services in a courteous manner for guests and staff. Responsibilities include reviewing guest arrivals, assisting with directions, and maintaining a safe, secure environment across resort facilities.

This role requires CPR/First Aid/Life Saving certifications, strong communication, discretion with high-profile guests, and the ability to handle multiple tasks while documenting

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Possess current CPR, First Aid and Life Saving certifications.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of and experience using computer programs, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Experience working in an environment providing a high level of customer service to guests with discretion and professionalism.
• Ability to work with management staff and other employees in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Review all materials concerning arrival schedules for return guests, VIPs and dignitaries, daily events and function sheets.
• Provide accurate information when answering requests for directions, hours of operation for facilities, emergency instructions and other related issues.
• Project an image of friendliness, professionalism and willingness to provide personalized services to guests.
• Perform life safety techniques, such as CPR, as needed.
• Assist guests with door lock problems.
• Patrol interior and exterior areas of resort and confront any persons or situations that require investigations.
• Document incidents and/or accidents that occur during shift and provide clear, concise written reports.
• Implement company policies, procedures and instructions regarding the safety and security of guests, employees and the resort.
• Follow all procedures when responding to any hotel emergency or safety situation.
