Job summary

Ivy Hospitality is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee room cleaners and public areas, ensuring timely service and high cleanliness standards. You will coordinate with front desk, engineering, and other departments to satisfy guest needs and maintain safety.

Requires a high school diploma, 3+ years in housekeeping with supervisory experience, strong communication, and basic computer skills. The role involves standing most of the day and lifting up to 15 lbs; weekend shifts are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum three years housekeeping experience, with at least one year in a supervisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team with minimal supervision.
• Basic computer skills.
• In-depth knowledge of hotel services and facilities.
• Ability to stand and walk for nearly 100% of the working day.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs regularly and push/pull carts up to 250 lbs.
• Requires bending, stooping, squatting, and stretching as part of routine duties.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day activities of room cleaners, ensuring prompt cleaning of guest rooms per standards.
• Inspect rooms and public areas to ensure quality and maintenance.
• Collaborate with front desk, engineering, banquet services, and room services for seamless operations.
• Prepare and follow up on maintenance work orders for furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
• Assist in quarterly linen inventory and ensure supplies are available.
• Ensure courteous guest service and handle short-notice room changes.
• Maintain safety by locking linen chutes and adhering to policies.
• Assist with training and direction of new housekeeping staff.
• Keep records of room checkouts and stay-overs and submit daily reports.
