Job summary

Ascent Hospitality is seeking a devoted Housekeeping Room Inspector (Supervisor) to oversee floors, inspect rooms before turnover, and coach the housekeeping team to meet brand standards. You will train staff, ensure cleanliness, and support inventory and safety procedures across the department.

The role requires prior housekeeping experience and some supervisory exposure, with a focus on quality, efficiency, and guest satisfaction within a hotel environment.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent is required; some college is preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of housekeeping experience in the hospitality industry preferred.
• Must be dependable and productive.
• Ability to read in English and print simple sentences.
• Ability to follow directions and instructions precisely.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities to ensure adequate staffing for cleaning guest rooms and public areas.
• Inspect guest rooms and public spaces to ensure cleanliness quality standards are met.
• Coach and train housekeeping team members on procedures and standards.
• Prepare weekly inventory, check supplies, and report discrepancies.
• Communicate needs to management and assist in safety and policy adherence.
• Maintain open communication with Front Office regarding room status and guest needs.
• Handle training for new staff and ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals.
• Support with routine maintenance requests and housekeeping reporting.
