Job summary

Shamin Hotels is hiring a Room Inspector for Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront. You will verify guest rooms, corridors, and public areas meet cleanliness and repair standards, inspect completed work, and release rooms for arrival.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, basic reading/writing/math, reliable transport, and strong attention to detail. The position is full-time, on-site in Virginia Beach, offering $18.00-$19.00 per hour and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent experience preferred.
• Must have basic Reading, Writing, and Math skills.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work
• Customer Service Skills required.
• Prioritization and time management skills required.
• Must have a strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms after cleaning to ensure furnishings, equipment, linens, and amenities are clean and in good repair.
• Verify and update the status of rooms and reconcile with Front Desk.
• Release clean rooms in priority order to support arrivals and guest requests.
• Provide feedback to room attendants to drive quality and efficiency.
• Train room attendants on cleaning standards, productivity expectations, and proper use of equipment and chemicals.
• Ensure associates have proper supplies, equipment, and uniforms and PPE.
• Reinforce safety standards and report unsafe conditions.
• Assist with accident and incident reporting and follow-up steps.
• Notify maintenance of repairs and follow up to completion.
• Monitor cleanliness of corridors, public areas, exterior entrances, and parking lot.
• Perform housekeeping duties as needed (beds, vacuuming, etc.).
• Open and close shifts; work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
