Job summary

Shamin Hotels is seeking an experienced Room Inspector to verify guest room cleanliness and readiness to meet brand standards at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront property. You will inspect rooms, coach attendants on quality, and communicate maintenance needs promptly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Must have basic Reading, Writing, and Math skills.
• Customer Service Skills required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect assigned guest rooms after cleaning to ensure furnishings, equipment, linens, and amenities are clean, complete, and in good repair.
• Verify and update the status of rooms throughout the shift and reconcile discrepant rooms with the Front Desk.
• Release clean rooms in priority order to support arrivals and guest requests.
• Provide efficient and objective feedback to room attendants to drive efficiency and quality within the housekeeping department.
• Train and coach room attendants on cleaning standards, productivity expectations, and proper use of equipment and chemicals.
• Ensure that all associates have proper supplies, equipment, and uniforms, including nametags and designated PPE.
